Hi, I want to learn to play the violin, and I am not sure which violin to go for as a beginner. I don't have any local shop nearby, so I probably would have to order online. Can someone help with which violin I should buy?

Hey there, I would suggest you to not buy online as every violin sounds and feels different. If you still insist on buying one online, I would suggest you contact a professional violin maker and get it delivered from them rather than any online shopping website.

First, ask your teacher which brand is good. I guess he is the best person to guide you better. And don't buy any instrument if you don't know anything about it.

You should always go to the store and check out yourself by playing on different acoustic instruments. Even if they look the same, the sound won't! Play by yourself and pick the one you like.

First, you should examine if your child is interested in violin. Even if he is, do not purchase the violin immediately; you should take your child to the classes for two months at least. After that, if he is eager to learn more, you should go for buying one.

Carnatic Violin, Vocal teacher with experience of 11 years

Violin has different sizes according to the age. If you buy from online, you cannot check the instrument quality. Buy only if the return policy is there. Otherwise, buy from shops only. Some good violin models: GB&A, Granada, trinity, maestro.

Yes, Why not ? You can learn through tutorial vedio but you can not learn so many things without having teacher like there are many technics.
